BIOGRAPHIES
Howard Carter was an archeologist. In 1891 he went to Egypt. He loved his work but people didn't want to work with him because he was a difficult man.
In 1903 he opened a little shop in Luxor. He met Lord Carnarvon there. He was generous and very rich. Carter convinced him to pay for an excavation in the Valley of the Kings. He wanted to find a tomb with a big treasure.
They discovered King Tut's tomb in 1922. They found a very important treasure and wonderful paintings.
But a few months later, Lord Carnarvon died. In the following years, many people from the excavation died too. It's a mystery.
